For example, you will be requested to enter data, copy paste entries to forms or even reply to blog posts of certain websites. Most probably if you are offered these easy tasks with a corresponding high payment, then it should be too good to be true and will probably end up as a scam. I am involved in freelance writing jobs and that most of my tasks are about academic writing for dissertations, thesis and essays so it is a difficult set of daily tasks. However, I get the equivalent pay rate as agreed upon with the company and the client.

Now, one key element in identifying the credibility and reputation value of a website is to make sure that they have been operating for at least two years. Of course we cannot tell for sure whether they are simply acquiring more unsuspecting victims or not but having this length of operation should be a good signal for you.

Another good indication that a work at home job company is legitimate is the availability of their contact information. I am working for a company that has a verified physical address. They also have working telephone numbers and even live agents ready to chat with me anytime. These factors are all important.

It would also be a good idea to check out for third party comments and feedback about the company you are eyeing to work for. Some online jobs work at home companies has forums and websites wherein the previous employees or freelancers can air their concerns and thoughts about the company. You can look for feedback over the search engines that you prefer to use.

Lastly, you should never pay for your employment or job opportunity. There are numerous websites that will promise you great online jobs only if you will pay a certain amount for the so called job mailing list, subscription or membership. Remember, you are the one looking for a job and should be paid for your service and not the other way around. Online work offers that collect money from applicants are definitely scams.
